my many great adventures!
so first about a month ago i went to a really great party and met the most nicest people. Laurie K. and her husband Tim opened their own dance studio right across from Bashas, Laurie's son and daughter (Benji Schwimmer and Lacey Schwimmer) are professional dancers and they were there. i BELIEVE both were on "so you think you can dance," in which Benji one, one season. and lacy is now on "dancing with the stars" with her dance partner being Stev-o :) it was really fun! here are some pics of that night
so here is a big update on whats been going on lately. so a few weeks ago maybe 3 weeks i had the opportunity to go skiing! it was a blast! i was able to do this through a program called Daring Adventures. the program takes kids and adults with disabilities to places that normally people wouldnt expect that they would be able to go. we went up to flagstaff and were there from sat-sunday. the first day was great. it started out a little rough only because they cut my ski poles too short, but after we got new poles that were the right length i was able to just go and enjoy the day. it was actually warm! which is not what i was expecting at all.... we (the group of about 20 people) went for at least a mile 1/2, we ate lunch, then went out again for another mile 1/2 it was a loooong day and boy was i tired... we went out to eat at krackerberrel and they had pretty decent food (i had shrimp of course) then as i was about to leave i saw some jewlery (which is totally a weakness of mine) so i baught a bracelete. as i was checking out with my checkout person, the checkout guy next to him was checking ME out... i looked at him, said hi and he responded "did you.....did you go to Shadow Mountain High shcool? that really threw me back cuz what are the odds that i would see someone that graduated a year before me???? and how someone would actually remember me from that long ago! it was crazy. so after that we left went to the hotel and the next morning was the BEST day. my instructor personally took me on sort of a private path so that we could go up this HUGE hill like 150 ft or more hill with a down slope that was crazy. so we FINALLY got up the hill and we were ready to ride it down so my instructor went first and then it was my turn. well the person that was helping me did what she was suppose to do and i got in the position that i needed to be to go down hill and....well long story short my pole got stuck in her sunglasses and then her ski got stuck in the wrist strap of my other pole all in all..we were in trouble. i got loose about 10 ft down from the top and ended up turning....i hit a log and got about 6 inches or more of air. the back of my ski got caught on the log and it ended up tipping my whole sit ski and i ended up pinned against a tree.. i didnt get hurt at all; in fact i was laughing the entire time. so second try we went ALL the way down the hill with no accidents. it was sooooo much fun (cept all of the younger guys 16,15 hit on me the entire time) haha pretty funny stuff..
second thing that i did was last week i went to get my very first REAL bike! its red and so pretty and ive been riding it every day since i got it!!!! will post pictures once i get the cam card from my dad :)
ps to all.....did NOT go skydiving.... im so sad about that so very sad...
